Can NHXH FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV cables be used outdoors and/or laid directly in the ground?

NHXH FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV cables are UV-resistant.
In the case of outdoor installations (e.g. on pipe racks or rooftops), it is sufficient to lay the cable in perforated trays ensuring proper ventilation.

If an NHXH cable is to be installed in the ground, it must be protected against water and moisture. This protection may consist of laying the above-mentioned cable in a dry cable duct or in a sealed protective conduit in the ground. In the latter case, the conduit must be sealed at both ends so that the cable is not continuously exposed to water/moisture collecting inside the conduit from unsealed ends.

You may also use NHXHX FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV cables, which, due to their design, can be laid directly in the ground without any additional protection.

What is the minimum order value for shipments from stock?

PLN 10,000 net – for control, audio, coaxial and telecommunications cables.

PLN 15,000 net – for other cables and mixed shipments. If the minimum order conditions are met, transport costs within Poland are covered by the manufacturer.

How long is the warranty period for Technokabel cables?

Technokabel provides a standard, free-of-charge 24-month warranty. At the customer’s request, it is possible to extend the warranty – for an additional fee, depending on the order value and the preferred warranty period.

Is international shipping available for cables?

Yes, we handle international shipments within the European Union and beyond. Delivery costs are determined individually depending on the country, weight and order size. International orders are handled by our export department.

Where can I find information about the long-term current-carrying capacity of Technokabel cables?

Detailed information on this topic can be found in the Technical Guide, available for download from our website. The issue of long-term current-carrying capacity is discussed in chapter 15.

The document presents both general principles and specific technical data. Please note that, due to different installation methods, it is necessary to take into account correction factors, such as the installation method or ambient temperature.

Can HTKSH PH90 cables be used outdoors?

Fire-resistant cables: HTKSH FE180 PH90/E30-E90; HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90; are intended for installation inside buildings in accordance with the issued National Technical Assessment CNBOP-PIB-KOT/2021/0296-3701 issue 1.

With additional protection against water and direct UV radiation, these cables may be laid outside buildings. Occasional contact with moisture or water does not pose a risk to the cables. The cables should be installed in pipes, conduits or covered trays in such a way that they do not lie directly in water during operation.

Can fire-resistant cables be laid directly under mineral wool, lime plaster or gypsum plaster?

Fire-resistant cables with insulation and sheath made of halogen-free material of the following types: HTKSH FE180 PH90/E30-E90; HTKSHekw FE180 PH90/E30-E90; HDGs(żo) FE180 PH90/E30-E90 300/500 V; NHXH FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV; (N)HXH FE180 PH90/E90 0.6/1 kV may be laid directly under mineral wool or under lime or gypsum plasters and should be installed in accordance with the following recommendations – cable installation:

– BAKS brackets of type UDF and UEF,

– installation using steel screws or expansion anchors of type SRO M6x30, PSR M6x65 or GSO M6x40, or other tested M6 steel anchors,

– spacing between brackets for concealed installation not greater than 300 mm,

– spacing between brackets for surface installation not greater than 600 mm.

In the case of concealed installations, the above-mentioned cables should be fixed to the wall or ceiling before the plaster is applied.
