Exchangeable Pallet Handling Policy (EUR or EPAL)
Effective at TECHNOKABEL S. from January 13, 2025
As of January 13, 2025, TECHNOKABEL S.A. implements the exchange and return process for EUR/EPAL pallets used for the transportation of goods, in accordance with the following terms:
- Only original and undamaged EUR or EPAL pallets (wooden, flat, with dimensions 800 mm × 1200 mm) are eligible for exchange and return. Pallets must comply with UIC Code 435, EN 13698-1, or any applicable replacement standard, and must bear a legally registered EUR or EPAL trademark.
- Compliance with the above standards is verified using the current Pallet Evaluation Cards, available at:
- www.uic-eur.pl – for EUR pallets (Union of Pallet Producers UIC),
- www.epal.org.pl – for EPAL pallets (Polish National Committee of EPAL).
- All pallets – both returnable and non-returnable – used by TECHNOKABEL S.A. for deliveries are subject to a fee in accordance with the current price list and will be invoiced.
- TECHNOKABEL SA reserves the right to fulfill certain orders on non-returnable pallets, particularly during the initial phase of implementing the returnable pallet system.
- The company does not exchange or accept single-use pallets, half pallets (½), or any pallets or packaging types not specified in point 1.
- If TECHNOKABEL S.A. delivers pallets that do not comply with the Pallet Evaluation Card, the recipient must report the issue along with photographic documentation no later than the next business day after delivery, by email to: palety.zwrotne@technokabel.com.pl.
- A condition for accepting returned pallets is their delivery to the following address:

within 90 days from the date of sale. After this period, no return or compensation claims will be accepted. Returns are processed only for pallets purchased from TECHNOKABEL SA. - All returned pallets delivered to TECHNOKABEL SA.’s warehouse will be inspected for compliance with UIC Code 435 or applicable standards. Pallets meeting the requirements will be processed as returnable pallets and settled through a debit invoice.
- Pallets that do not qualify as returnable EUR/EPAL pallets will remain at the recipient’s disposal. If no collection instructions are received within 3 business days of notification regarding non-compliance, the pallets will be disposed of at the recipient’s expense.
Information on Pallet Charges
Please be informed that, as of January 13, 2025, pallet charges will apply in accordance with the price list valid on the date of this notice:
- For shipments on returnable EUR/EPAL pallets: PLN 50 net plus VAT per pallet.
- For shipments on non-returnable EUR ½ pallets: PLN 20 net plus VAT per pallet.
The value of the pallets used for shipment will be added to the VAT invoice.
