Halogen-Free Cables for Use in Facilities with Enhanced Fire Safety Requirements
Technokabel SA successfully implemented a project entitled “Halogen-Free Cables for Use in Facilities with Enhanced Fire Safety Requirements” under Sub-measure 3.2.2 – Innovation Credit, part of the Smart Growth Operational Programme.
The objective of the project was to implement an innovative production technology for halogen-free power cables with enhanced fire resistance, capable of maintaining functionality during a fire. The technology was independently developed by Technokabel SA as a result of its internal R&D activities.
As a result of this process innovation, the company introduced two improved types of cables and one new product line, all designed to maintain their operational function under fire conditions.
